The Island on the Chain is a exceptional resort for
families, retirees, or empty nesters who enjoy boating,
camping, fishing, or just enjoy the great outdoors.
Located just one hour North of Chicago, the Island
is Lake county's only all waterfront RV park offering
79 seasonal waterfront sites, each with it's own private
boat slip.
This 180 acre wooded parcel was carefully developed
to provide families with maximum space and privacy
with minimum disruption to the natural setting. Family
orientated rules are strictly enforced to maintain
this one of a kind campground.
Plus we have Locked Security
Gates.
Bob and Liz Knourek worked hard to develop this
180 acre paradise in 1980. Today, the Island is still
family owned and operated by Scott Segel and Vicki
Knourek-Segel.
